Endless Arts in Eagles Mere, September 14-17, 2017

Registration is underway for Endless Arts in Eagles Mere, an intensive, hands-on arts education program that connects art and nature. Endless Arts features an extended weekend of arts programs including workshops in Writing by award-winning author Brendan Jones, iPhonography by iPhone photography expert Julie Stauffer, Collage by multi-media teaching artist Fran Gallun, and Monoprinting (one-of-a-kind hand printing) by Main Line Arts Center, UArts, and Wayne Art Center teaching artist Christine Stoughton.

Participants will attend the morning workshop of their choice and participate in a variety of afternoon and evening programs, including guided hikes, a film about art in nature, and a “yarn bombing” — a group-created yarn installation led by fiber artist Melissa Maddonni Haims. Local artists Pat Leibowitz (watercolor and oil painter), Leo Sewell (installation artist), Sherri Grasmuck (mosaic artist) and Carolyn Hirsch (watercolorist and potter) will open their studios to Endless Arts attendees for lunch-hour visits and demonstrations.

The environmental component of the weekend will include a presentation by artist Diane Burko, sharing her photographs and paintings documenting changes in ice fields and glaciers around the world. Mick Smyer will convene a group discussion about actions we can take to protect the environment. Box lunches and group dinners will be provided by local restaurants.

Limited space is available for each of the workshops, so it is recommended that participants enroll early. Registration is available through the website endlessartsem.org, which also contains detailed information about all of the program. Endless Arts is an Eagles Mere Friends of the Arts program.
