Registration begins at 5:00pm in front of Brushstrokes Gallery, Art Supplies and Framing. There is no early registration and you must register in person. Please bring your own chalk.
Prizes will be awarded in the following categories:
Ages 6 and under
Ages 7 – 12
Ages 13 – 18
19 and older
C.A.R.E. ( Community Alliance for Respect and Equality) will be awarding prizes in each of these categories to chalk drawings which promotes diversity, challenges bullying, and /or encourages respect and equality within our community. C.A.R.E. will be providing their own judge and will present a certificate, a T-shirt and cash prizes.
Judging begins at 6:45 pm. Winners will be announced around 7:45. Winners will be posted the next day at the Kiosk, in Brushstrokes, at Faustina’s, and on Facebook.
New this year is a People’s Choice Award! Anyone will be able to vote for their favorite sidewalk chalk artwork by putting in a ballot at Voting Stations inside Plush Salon Co., Threading Love, Retrah, Dwellings Boutique, Brushstrokes, Black Dog Jewelers, The Mercantile, and Faustina’s before 1pm on Saturday, July 9. At 2:00pm an Arts Council member will tally the votes and the winner will be announced. The People’s Choice Prize will be a Lewisburg Arts Council tote bag filled with gifts from various downtown merchants. More details to come as we get closer to the Festival!
This year’s featured artist is Billy Kelly who will be making the sidewalk more fabulous with his artistic stylings rendered in chalk.
Funky Freezer ice cream and hot dogs!
Brent Kessler will be strolling the street performing magic throughout the Festival and be sure to stop at the face-painting table so Amy Downs can work her magic!
