Stroll through the Arts

Both the visual and the performing arts take center stage in historic downtown
Lewisburg the first Friday in November as the Lewisburg Arts Council sponsors the Nineteenth
Annual Stroll Through the Arts on Friday, November 3, from 6:00 pm to midnight. Start with
the Art from 6-9pm when nearly 40 artists display their works in shops, studios, and galleries all
along five blocks of downtown Market St. that evening. The artists range from painters to
potters to jewelers to photographers, and are all from the central Susquehanna Valley region. In addition, Friends of Poetry Under the Paintings will hold a poetry reading throughout the
evening at the Himmelreich Library, 18 Market St.

This year’s Stroll Through the Arts will again feature our passport program. Anyone who visits
and has checked off the required number of businesses in certain blocks of downtown is eligible
to enter a drawing for Downtown Lewisburg gift certificates. Passports are available at any one
of the participating businesses (look for the luminaria!), at the Arts Council’s Stroll
Headquarters at the CommUnity Zone, 417 Market Street, or can be downloaded here, and should be turned in by 9:15 at the
Stroll Headquarters. The drawing will happen at 417 Market St. at 9:20 pm.

End with the Music until midnight! This year, Dance to the Music features FIVE great music
acts, all for free:
